Four versions of a new silhouette inspired by the Áo Dài
The Ao tunic is inspired by the Vietnamese Áo Dài, offering a contemporary interpretation.
The Áo Dài, whose name literally means "long garment," is a traditional outfit that appeared in various forms as early as the 18th century. It consists of trousers and a long shirt, recognizable by its mandarin collar, long sleeves, and side slits. The fitted and fluid feminine version gradually established itself as the most well-known image of the contemporary Áo Dài, while masculine versions retained a more ample and structured silhouette.
Both everyday wear, ceremonial attire, and a cultural symbol, the Áo Dài has accompanied the evolution of Vietnamese society for several generations while maintaining a central place in its sartorial identity.

Traditional men's and women's Áo Dài versions
We retain its essential lines to reinterpret them.
The collar becomes round. The doubled button placket conceals the buttons to restore the simplicity of the original piece. On the front, a deep box pleat structures the silhouette and accentuates the volume. The long sleeves are retained, with a system designed to make them adjustable.

We have made it available in four fabrics:
- a white Japanese cotton with raised blue dots
- a textured green cotton fabric
- a black Italian poplin
- a soft white poplin

An ample and minimalist piece, imbued with a cultural reference that is dear to us.
