The Ao Tunic is inspired by the Vietnamese Áo Dài, offering a contemporary interpretation.

The Áo Dài, a traditional garment, consists of trousers and a long shirt, recognizable by its mandarin collar, long sleeves, and side slits that allow for movement.

We've retained its essential lines and evolved them.
The collar becomes round. The doubled button placket conceals the buttons, restoring the original garment's simplicity. On the front, a deep pleat structures the silhouette and accentuates the volume.

The long sleeves are retained, with a system designed to adapt to every body type, extending or shortening the line depending on how it's worn—a first for Aïdama.

A loose and minimalist piece, infused with a cultural reference dear to us, which we choose to bring into dialogue with the present.

Upcycling: Our target is to repurpose deadstock fabrics to combat waste and contribute to a more circular economy. Each piece is produced from rolls discarded by major fashion brands, and the number of copies depends on the quantity of fabric available, implying a limited-edition distribution model.

Made in France: Out of environmental awareness and to ensure a strong human connection with our suppliers, we have chosen to produce locally. Thus, the design and all stages of manufacturing are carried out in the Paris region.
