Our Hakama culottes are inspired by the traditional trousers of the same name, once worn by Japanese nobility in the medieval era and later adopted for martial arts such as Aikido and Kendo. This piece offers a contemporary take on this iconic garment in an asymmetrical version with 5 structured pleats that provide elegant volume and an oversized silhouette.

Adjustable with an elastic waistband and an adjustable drawstring, the Hakama culottes, presented here in a black cotton & linen 2/1 twill, combine the versatility of trousers with the comfort of a skirt, offering a drape that is light yet structured.

Upcycling: Our target is to repurpose deadstock fabrics to combat waste and contribute to a more circular economy. Each piece is produced from rolls discarded by major fashion brands, and the number of copies depends on the quantity of fabric available, implying a limited-edition distribution model.

Made in France: Out of environmental awareness and to ensure a strong human connection with our suppliers, we have chosen to produce locally. Thus, the design and all stages of manufacturing are carried out in the Paris region.
