FREESIZE

This oversized coat is inspired by the Tanzen, a traditional Japanese overcoat worn in winter over a kimono. Reinterpreted in a contemporary version, this coat is designed to be enveloping while offering comfort and freedom of movement.

Its A-line cut and dolman sleeves (seamless construction between the front and the sleeve) create a fluid silhouette, with naturally dropped shoulders. This oversized volume creates a strong presence while remaining minimalist, true to the Aïdama aesthetic.

Designed as an everyday coat, it stands out for its versatility and functional design. Its length below the knee (for an average height) or 3/4 for taller figures reinforces its protective and enveloping aspect.

The coat is deliberately unfused for a deconstructed look. In terms of finishing, this revisited version features two piped chest pockets, a drawstring at the waist, and a RIRI double zipper, known for its quality and durability.

Between traditional heritage and contemporary influences (with a subtle touch of Japanese pop culture), this Tanzen coat stands out as a strong, functional, and singular piece.

Made from a water-repellent beige cotton and linen blend, it guarantees excellent hold and ideal insulation for mid-season.

Upcycling: Our target is to repurpose deadstock fabrics to combat waste and contribute to a more circular economy. Each piece is produced from rolls discarded by major fashion brands, and the number of copies depends on the quantity of fabric available, implying a limited-edition distribution model.

Made in France: Out of environmental awareness and to ensure a strong human connection with our suppliers, we have chosen to produce locally. Thus, the design and all stages of manufacturing are carried out in the Paris region.
