This oversized coat is inspired by the Tanzen, a traditional Japanese overcoat worn in winter over a kimono. Reworked in a contemporary version, this coat is designed to be enveloping while offering comfort and freedom of movement.

Its A-line cut and dolman sleeves (seamless construction between the front and the sleeve) create a fluid silhouette, with naturally dropped shoulders. This oversized volume offers a strong presence while remaining minimalist, true to the Aïdama aesthetic.

Designed as an everyday coat, it stands out for its versatility and functional design. Its length below the knee (for an average height) or 3/4 for taller figures enhances its protective and enveloping aspect.

The coat is intentionally unlined for a deconstructed look. For finishing, the cotton lining provides warmth and comfort and features a double RIRI zipper, known for its quality and durability.

Between traditional heritage and contemporary influences (with a subtle touch of Japanese pop culture), this Tanzen coat establishes itself as a strong, functional, and unique piece.

Made from a thick black wool fabric (390 gsm), it guarantees excellent hold and ideal insulation for the cold season.
